La Paz, Bolivia
I only had the chance to spend two days in La Paz, Bolivia. Which at over 3600 metres above sea level, is the highest capital city in the world. But this was time enough for me to come away having a great feeling about the place. There’s a vibe cultivated through the development, the vibrancy and the strong focus on the community.
And the highlight? Definitely the cable car system.Read More
Reverse Quilotoa Loop
Solo, I completed the Quilotoa Loop, 3 day trek in what is known as reverse. I started in Quilotoa (without having to spend the night in Latacunga) and finished in Sigchos.
If you’re a visual person this blog serves as a visual guide to help you find your way. The photos of the signs and paths that I took throughout my trek (and the purpose of this blog) will be of benefit to you. The images and comments will keep you on the right path, when the change of direction is not obvious, and save you heading in the wrong direction.

Isla del Sol, Bolivia
What is it? Where is it?
Isla del Sol is an island with absolutely stunning views in Boliva, South America. Specifically, the island sits in the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca and is about a one and a half hour (slow boat) ride from the main land. Shut your eyes and fall asleep to the steady throb of the motor, it’s well worth the trip.
Santiago
There is something a little bit special about this, the biggest city in Chile. Santiago is not only easy on the eye, vibrant with color and nature, but it’s also easy to navigate around. A blessing for any traveler without a lot of time up their sleeve.
Lima City of Cats
In Cusco they joke that there’s more dogs than humans and there might actually be some grain of truth at the base of that humor. They are everywhere; in varying breeds and degrees of health. But when it comes to Peru, Lima is the city of cats.
