When I mentioned catching a train down to Durban people looked at me like I was strange, 0bviously it’s not something people usually do. But I have a love of train travel, especially overnight travel. There’s something about being lulled to sleep while the carriage clacks along the track.

Johannesburg – Be Surprised
Based on what I had read and the general feedback of what Johannesburg is supposed to be like, I was pretty nervous about being here. And although I’m sure there is definitely bad stuff going down here, I didn’t feel its prominence, instead, I felt such a great vibe.Read More

The Day of Departure
As much as I’d been preparing for weeks, it still ended up being a little bit chaotic and last minute frantic. Moving On
Making the decision never seems to be difficult for me, it’s generally the easy part.
Things could go completely wrong, I could get mugged, I could meet the wrong people, I might not meet anyone.

A Day Trip – Shopping in Thailand
This is a friend’s blog post about a fun one-day shopping trip we did in Thailand, just across the Poipet border from Cambodia.
Not a clear photo but had to post, love the salesman poking his head out to see what the crazy “barangs” (Westerners) are up to. There were ants in the dress I was trying on and I was being attacked!
